Autograph letter signed, dated : [London], 20 April 1900, to Mr. Sam[uel] Aitken, 1900 Apr. 20.

Saying that as Aitken is the stake holder of Nachez's bet with Mr. Ramsden, Nachez is sending [not present] "poor [Allan James?] Foli's Photograph," adding that he is sure Aitken will find its measurements right "and exceeding your ... wine bottle by more than I said," and saying he will be happy to receive Mr. Ramsden's check for £1,000.

Tivadar Nachèz was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1859. He was a Hungarian violinist and composer with an international career, and primarily lived in London, England. In Budapest he studied under Sabathiel, the leader of the orchestra of the Budapest Opera. Then he studied under Joseph Joachim in Berlin, Germany and afterwards with Hubert Léonard in Paris, France.
